The spirit of entrepreneurship and art is alive and well in Barrie. This is evident in local Atrepreneur Angela Francis. I was able to get some words with this aspiring business person and she told me about some early failures leading to some fresh success. Angela is a Georgian College alumni with some very diverse and interesting experience spanning the globe. She is able to cultivate that experience and mixed with an abundance of bravery has entered the world of small business. In her first venture, Angela wanted to merge her love of creative art with her love of cupcakes. She soon realized that her passion for art overcame her passion for baking. This lead Angela to create Angela Francis Fine Arts. The move gave Angela not only an avenue to display her skill and love for art, but also allowed her to share that passion with the community. Angela holds classes for people interested in learning how to paint in a very relaxed and fun atmosphere. Angela has been running her workshops out of her home, but as I was speaking with her I learned that she is ready to make the jump to a new location and is currently seeking a spot for a gallery. Angela went on to speak of how she would like to build Angela Francis Fine Arts as a business from a simple workshop to a gallery where the participants are not only able to display their works but also give them an opportunity to sell their pieces. For more information about Angela and her fine art, or to register for her workshops visit her website @ http://angelafrancisfineart.com/ or her Facebook page, or also follow Angela on Instagram @angelafrancisfineart.
